Dr.Tumuluru Sri Dakshina Murthy Sastry is a Telugu Scholar and has retired as Principal of Sri Bhavanarayana Swamy Sanskrit College, Ponnur.
He is a multifaceted personality. Not only is he a renowed scholar with more than 15 writings to his credit but also a eminent speaker, celebrated play-wright, prominent stage artist and a good teacher.

His doctoral work Sri Rama Kadhamrutam Samaara Sameeksha (An Exhaustive Study of Sri Rama Kadha mrutham) was based on the Scholarly work by famou.s Sri Tadepalli Venkatappayyah Sastry and his Son Sri Tadepalli Raghavanarayana Sastry, earned him critical acclaim.
He was invited to profess at some of the famous meets like T.TD Dharma Prachara Phrishad, Oriental Conference, Organised at Tirupati and at various other cultural Meets.
His commentry on Vishnu Sahasranamam, Lalita Sahasranamam, Soundalyalahari, Sivananda lahari and his research on ancient works of Telugu Literature has earned him a great recognition among scholars.
